ECHD to swear in new board member
Board meets Tuesday
A new face will join the Ector County Hospital District board during the monthly board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium of Medical Center Hospital, 500 W. 4th Street.
David Nelson, a CPA with Nurses Unlimited, Inc., will be sworn in at the meeting to represent district 5, according to the agenda.
Retired physician Al Karickoff was the other person considered for the position, but the board gave their final decision to go with Nelson at their November meeting after interviewing them during an executive session closed to the public.
The previous District 5 representative, Ceretha Cartwright, resigned in August so that she could join family in San Diego.
In other actions the board will:

>> Recognize the December employees of the month: Catherine Stuart in clinical, J.R. Edmiston in non-clinical and Leisha Sanchez in nursing.
