Board considers water, sewer extensions
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A new ambulatory care center in Northeast Odessa could be one step closer to reality after Tuesday's meeting of the Ector County Hospital District Board of Directors.
The board will vote on extending water distribution and sanitary sewer lines to the ambulatory care center, which is part of a development Medical Center Hospital is building with the Wisconsin-based Hammes Company. Construction on three-to-five acres of the 34-acre development is expected to begin in early 2009, taking about 18 months to complete.
The board will also vote on a nurse practitioner employment agreement with the ProCare 501(a).
Last month, the board approved an exclusive contract between ProCare and Permian Basin Clinical Services for anesthesiology services. It joined the growing number of specialties using ProCare, a private nonprofit corporation that hires doctors to work at MCH.
The board will also consider:
>> Radiology digital portable X-ray units.
>> Computer back-up storage.
>> A rehabilitation software agreement.
>> An emergency room services coding agreement.
>> A bank account resolution for Texas Pharmacy Association services.
>> Board and finance committee meeting dates for 2009.
