Police: 5-year-old hit by bus, is OK

A 5-year-old girl was hit by a YMCA bus Friday afternoon in the 600 block of 36th Street, an OPD news release stated.
The 5-year-old was walking on the sidewalk at around 3:14 p.m. when she darted out into the street and a YMCA bus eastbound on 36th Street collided with her, the release stated.
She was transported to Medical Center Hospital in a condition that was not life-threatening, the release stated.
Sherrie Carruth said citations are not given to children younger than 10 in Texas.
