Robbery suspect still at-large

The Odessa Police Department is still searching for a man who is accused of robbing Security State Bank, 4040 E. 42nd St., Friday morning.

OPD Sgt. James Carter said as of Saturday afternoon, the incident is still under investigation.

The suspect entered the bank at 9:51 a.m. with a handgun and demanded money. After bank employees complied, he left with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male around 20 years old, 5-feet, 10-inches tall and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a Sean John label; a white polo shirt with a red, orange and white jersey underneath; and dark blue jeans. He is described as wearing gloves, a black cap and black and white tennis shoes.

The man was last seen running south behind the bank.

Carter said anyone with information can contact the Crimes Against Persons unit at 333-3641 or CrimeStoppers at 333-TIPS.
