Big, big apple

NEW YORK CITY Midland, Fort Davis and the Texas Mountains Trail are taking a bite out of the Big Apple.

Through Aug. 14, a 15-second commercial advertising "what West Texas really has to offer" is running twice an hour, 18 hours a day on Neutron Media's CBS "Super Screen" in New York City.

The "Super Screen" is 26 feet wide and 20 feet high (520 square feet) and sits at 42nd Street, between Seventh and Eighth avenues in Times Square Plaza.

The commercial is expected to air 3,312 time within a 92-day period.
