Early voting in April 8 runoff election continued Tuesday in Ector, Andrews and Winkler counties. It continues through Friday.

Former District Judge Tryon Lewis is challenging incumbent Buddy West for the Republican nomination for the District 81 seat. The winner will face Libertarian Elmo Hockman in November. State representatives serve two-year terms.

Dale Henry and Mark Thompson are both vying for the Democratic nomination for Railroad Commissioner and the opportunity to face incumbent Michael Williams in November.

On Wednesday, 2,238 Republican ballots were cast and 112 Democrat ballots were cast in the three counties. The following number of ballots were cast at the following locations:

>> 1,380 Republican and 69 Democrat at the Election Administration Office.
>> 279 Republican and 9 Democrat at the OC SportsCenter.
>>  491 Republican and 12 Democrat at the Presidential Museum.
>>  69 Republican and 22 Democrat mail in votes to Ector County.
>>  19 Republican and 0 Democrat at the Winkler County Clerk's Office.

There have been a total 4,772 GOP and 248 Democrat votes cast since Monday. Polls at the Ector County Annex, 1010 E. Eighth St., will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday. Polls will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday at the Presidential Museum, 4919 E. University Blvd., Odessa College's SportsCenter, 201 W. University Blvd., Andrews James Roberts Center, 855 E. Broadway St. and the Winkler County Clerk's Office, 112 N. Poplar St.
