Man stabbed outside apartment complex
No charges are being filed following a stabbing at about 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 4800 block of Oakwood, Odessa Police Department’s Cpl. Sherrie Carruth said.
An Odessa man was outside the Oakwood Manor Apartments when he was approached by a man and they began to wrestle, both of them falling to the ground, Carruth said.
The second man left and when he stood up he had blood on the back of his shirt, meanwhile the first man knocked on an apartment door to request medical attention, Carruth said.
He was transported to Medical Center Hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury, Carruth said.
He was no longer listed as a patient Thursday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said. A police report stated he had an approximately one-inch laceration on his lower back.
