Permian Basin to welcome airman

The Permian Basin Welcome Home Committee is asking for your help to welcome home a West Texas airman.

Airman First Class Jonathan Contreras, U.S. Airforce, is coming home on R&R after completing his tour of duty in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the Aircraft Management Systems while stationed at Khandahar Air Base. At the end of his leave, he will report to Moody AFB in Valdosta, Ga.

Contreras is scheduled to arrive at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at Midland International Airport. He is a 2009 graduate of Iraan High School and is the son of Yolanda (Rodolfo) Navarrette of Odessa. His brother, Ralphie Navarrette and grandparents Leandro and Mary Zapata also live in Odessa.
