An Odessa man and two Brownwood residents died at the scene of a two-car accident at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of North Grant Avenue.
The three individuals were traveling southbound on Grant Avenue in a 2001 white Pontiac Trans Am when the vehicle lost control and collided with a northbound 2003 gray Ford pickup, according to an Odessa Police Department news release.
Medical Examiner Shirley Standeffer pronounced James Lee Sewell, 30, of Odessa; Jodie Elaine Sewell, 30, of Brownwood; and Tyler Heath Swindall, 22, of Brownwood dead at the scene. All three were riding in the Trans Am.
Ford truck driver Alexis Hernandez, 18, and passenger Brittany Grando, 18, both of Midland, were treated and released at Medical Center Hospital on Sunday morning.
