 Lisa's father Ray Crenshaw started Crenshaw Carpet Co. 47 years ago, and her mother Ann joined him in running it shortly after that. In 1977, after Ray's death, Ann took over as company president. Lisa has been president since her mother's retirement in 1994. She and her husband Steve Estes co-own Crenshaw Carpet Co.
 Throughout the years, Lisa has seen trends in flooring come and go. Right now, she says, people are using a lot of wood, wood laminate and tile. Practical, decorative tile is popular in heavy traffic areas with carpet reserved for bedrooms. Most of the newer homes are using frieze carpet, Lisa says.
 "The trend has gone from neutrals to colors and back again over the past few years," Lisa says. "Right now we're seeing a lot of neutrals including olive green. I've even heard the expression, ‘Green is the new black.' Of course, we have colorful rugs in stock to complement those neutral tones."
