Giving Back to the West Texas Community

Western National Bank

For more than 30 years, Western National Bank has been a leader in the West Texas business community, providing financial services that have helped develop, grow and sustain local businesses and organizations.

With that leadership comes reward — and responsibility: the reward of success, and the responsibility to give back.

The role of giving back is one Western National Bank takes very seriously. Led by the example of the Wood family, the bank has supported countless charitable efforts and civic organizations throughout the years. Two current efforts highlight this ongoing endeavor: one is continuing as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2011 CAF AIRSHO, and the second is the bank and family’s leadership role in seeing the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center become a reality.

Being the Presenting Sponsor of the 2011 CAF AIRSHO evokes strong memories of Clay Wood’s military service in the US Navy during WWII. “The men and women who have served our country, and who continue to serve, give us more than we could possibly repay,” said Jack Wood, WNB’s president and CEO, very simply. “It is our honor to show how much we respect and appreciate their sacrifices.”

While the AIRSHO is a tribute to gritty determination, the bank’s support of the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center reaches in a different direction. Wood confirms this: “Businesses in our community create products and services that reach throughout the world. This performing arts center demonstrates how global we really are. Business, culture, art — it’s truly a unique opportunity to bring the world to us.”

Western National Bank has grown to become the largest locally owned bank and is proud of its strong ties to the community. Regardless of its size or prominence, however, the bank remains passionately focused on:

• Financial security and stability. The bank is consistently ranked among the top-performing banks of its size in the country.
• Relationships. The relationships cultivated over the past 30 years weave throughout the bank’s operations, creating opportunities, growth and success.
• Giving back. Without fanfare, the bank has been a stalwart community citizen, creating opportunities for many and a better community for all.

Western National Bank — local, strong and independent — we will continue to earn your trust. For more information, call Western National Bank at 432-570-4181 or visit our website at www.wnbonline.com.
