Storm chaser arrested

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

THE STORY: The Crane County sheriff came to the defense of one of his deputies who arrested a weather spotter Tuesday evening.

Crane County Sheriff Robert DeLeon said the incident happened after weather spotter Brian Taylor Barnes, of Violent Skies Tours, hadn't reported to the Crane Emergency Operations Center - "like all the other weather spotters."

YOUR COMMENTS:
>> "Storm chasers chase storms. That is what they do. If this guy wants to put his life in danger taking pictures of mother nature, then that should be on him. I think the Sheriff Deputy went a little to far. He has to understand that this guy has more experience than he does at reporting storms but he would rather use his authority to just to be a wench."
>> "This sounds like a great script for Mayberry RFD......I think this guy could play Barney Fife! What a joke....there should be an investigation into this officer's actions....and Thanks to the Stormwatchers for trying to keep us all SAFE! Geez....what's next? I guess we will find out that Mr. Barnes shared a jail cell with Otis!"
