Walk-in Tubs Combine Safety and Therapy
Re-Bath of West Texas
Those of us who are growing older — as well as many of us who are not so old — find that there is nothing better for aching joints than a warm soak in a jetted tub. Whether you’re a senior citizen or an athlete in training, you’ll want to experience the therapeutic benefits of walk-in tubs from Re-Bath.
“We sell both the Safety Tub brand and SanSpa Five Star, the Re-Bath brand,” said Heath Belcher, project manager for Re-Bath of West Texas. “All of our tubs have a built-in seat. Beyond basic soaking, you can have whirlpool jets, air-blowing jets or a combination of both.”
Walk-in tubs effectively combine safety and therapy.
“You can have the same whirlpool treatment at home that you might have at a workout center,” Belcher said. “It’s great for arthritis, blood flow and back pain problems. Plus, your kids and grandkids will love it.”
You can choose between an in-swing door with the Safety Tub and an out-swing door with SanSpa.
“With the in-swing door, the water keeps the door compressed. The out-swing door has a locking mechanism that you cannot open until you drain the water,” Belcher said.
A safety bar eases your way as you step in and out of the tub, and another one helps you to sit down and rise from the seat. The walk-in tubs have a high fill rate of 50 gallons in five minutes or less and a turn drain system that lets the water out quickly. A hand-held shower attachment lets you rinse off.
“Instead of having to fumble for a plug on a chain, you just turn the knob and the water drains out in less than two minutes,” Belcher said. “The tubs are acrylic with either a steel or an aluminum frame. They can be cleaned with ordinary household cleaners, and they’re very durable. They won’t fade or crack over time.”
In addition to walk-in tubs, Re-Bath also installs shower systems with safety features including a wheelchair accessible shower base.
Stop in at the Re-Bath showroom on Highway 191 at FM 1788 near the airport and see the safety tub display. Note how the tub operates and ask questions of the friendly Re-Bath representative. After you make your choice, a Re-Bath representative will come to your home and carefully measure your bath, then send those numbers off to the factory, where they will make all the components you’ve ordered to your specifications and send them to Re-Bath of West Texas. The installation is fast and easy because everything arrives at the design center ready to be put into place.
“Right now we’re offering 15% off on any of our safety products,” Belcher said.
