Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Isidore Ochiabuto officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
He was born in Brownfield.
SURVIVORS Wife, Eletica Vargas of Midland; sons, Joe Vargas Jr. and Austin Vargas, both of Midland; daughters, Valerie Bueno of Fort Stockton and Vanessa Vargas of Odessa; brothers, Rosendo Vargas Jr. of Evans, Colo., Ramon Vargas and Ralph Vargas, both of Fort Stockton, Raymando Vargas of Midland and Ruben Vargas of Greeley, Colo.; sister, Lidia Olguin of Midland; and seven grandchildren.
