Hazel Duckworth Pierce

MIDLAND Graveside services for Hazel Duckworth Pierce are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, at Resthaven Memorial Park. Reverend David Johnson, associate pastor at First Baptist Church, Midland, Texas, will conduct the services.

Hazel is survived by two sons, David Bryan Sledge of Longview, Texas, and Dennis Earl Sledge of Midland, Texas; one sister, Nonie Heinrich of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, Neil Duckworth of Heath, Texas; granddaughters, Ashleigh Merritt of Midland, Texas, Renae Jones of Longview, Texas and Kayse Renfro of Dallas, Texas; grandsons, Russell Scott of Midland, Texas, Zack Sledge of Monroe, Louisiana, Matt Sledge of Lubbock, Texas, and Brandon Sledge of Longview, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Hazel's many interests included dancing, fishing, playing golf, playing the piano and volunteering at Allison Cancer Center. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and many friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Gifts of Hope at Allison Cancer Center, 400 N. Garfield, Suite 100, Midland, Texas 79701 or to Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, Texas 79702.
