ENGAGEMENT: Fortenberry-Compton

TEXARKANA Kara Fortenberry of Texarkana and Mark Allen Compton III of Atlanta plan to marry Sept. 3 at Prissy Crissy Ranch in Texarkana with the Rev. Bob Bohannon officiating.

 
The bride-elect is the daughter of Don and Phyllis Fortenberry of Odessa. She is a 2002 graduate of Permian High School, a graduate of Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in music education and flute performance and a graduate of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music with a master’s degree.

She is employed by Texarkana Independent School District.

Her fiance is the son of Mark and Ann Compton of Bloomburg. He is a 2000 graduate of Atlanta High School. He is a technical sergeant for the U.S. Air Force Reserves based in Little Rock Air Force Base and is also employed by Cintas in Texarkana.
