William Boyd Hughes

ODESSA William Boyd Hughes, 78, of Odessa, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at his sons’ residence.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements were by Odessa Funeral Home.

He was born in Rising Star. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

SURVIVORS Wife, Birdie Tims Hughes of Odessa; sons, Bryan Lee Hughes and Jeff Hughes, both of Odessa; stepsons, Junior Munro and James Munro, both of Odessa; stepdaughters, Floy Elam of Abilene, Kathleen Rice of Arlington, Susan Tims of Allentown, Pa., and Cheryl Cunningham of Monahans; sisters, Theresa H. Lewis of Rising Star and Frances H. Wolf of Cross Plains; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
