Authorities round up 32 in drug bust
MONAHANS Authorities arrested 32 people this week on federal and state drug charges involving the distribution of crack cocaine, powder cocaine and heroin.
Most of the suspects are from Monahans, though one man arrested, Joshua S. Navarrete, 26, is from Odessa. A news release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office offered few details about the bust but said some of the distributions happened within 1,000 feet of playgrounds and schools.
The suspects’ ages range from 21 to 61.
Arrested on federal charges were: Tammara Bailey, 30, of Monahans; Joe Antonio Torres, 27, of Monahans; Richard Robert Ford, 59, of Monahans; Joshua Salgado Navarrete, 26, of Odessa; Tyeatha Lashawn Baker, 37, of Monahans; Jay Salgado Navarrete , 24, of Odessa; Edward Gaylord Southall, 37, of Monahans; Joe Alfred Garcia, 27, of Monahans; Terrance Martel Washington, 24, of Monahans; Zachary Sotelo Esparza, 26, of Monahans; Sylvin Anderson, 25, of Monahans; Oscar Garcia, III, 26, of Monahans; Lavada Williams, 28, of Monahans; Joshua Lee Mitchell, 27, of Monahans; Evat Thomas Chatman, 27, of Monahans; Jacques LaShawn Miles, 45, of Monahans; Isaac Ryan Wilson, 23, of Monahans; Jason Michael Nickels, 30, of Monahans; Omar Ramirez, 27, of Monahans; Sierra Otilia Ancira, 24, of Monahans; Erica Deann Ontiveroz, 30, of Monahans; Ariel Rameriz, 36 of Monahans; Ismael Diaz, 40, of Monahans; Eric Rivas, 25, of Monahans; Brittany Marie Gonzales, 25, of Monahans; Omar Lujan, 39, of Monahans; and, Nanette Michele Villesca, 39, of Monahans; Josh Lee Brandenburg, 20, of Monahans.
Arrested on state charges were: David Adam Graves, 27, of Monahans; Richard Baca Ortiz, 38, of Monahans; Amita Johnson, 58, of Monahans; and Jimmy Earl Raspberry, 31, of Lamesa.
