    Midland man charged

    Comments 0 | Recommend 0

A Midland man has been charged with aggravated robbery after turning himself in to authorities Monday morning.

Midland County sheriff’s deputies said Jimmie Dean Hogue, 59, pulled a knife on store clerks and took about $338 in cash from the register Friday after making a purchase at Uncle’s convenience store at 6001 FM 307.

Investigator Thomas Hunnicutt said the money has not been recovered.

Midland police said they also have questioned Hogue in connection with an armed robbery Saturday at 7-Eleven on West Wadley Avenue and in connection with the robbery of someone Hogue knew on Friday.

Hogue drove away from both robberies in a Dodge Intrepid he stole Friday, authorities said. Police said the stolen vehicle has been recovered.

On Monday, Hogue turned himself in to a parole halfway house where he was turned over to Midland police and then Midland county sheriff’s deputies, who charged him with one count of aggravated robbery.

Hogue is being held in Midland County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
