WESTVILLE, OKLA. John and JoAnn Shafer of Westville, Okla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 15 with a celebration at Mount View Baptist Church in Westville, Okla., hosted by their children and grandchildren.
Cathey JoAnn Hamilton married her husband Oct. 15, 1961, at the Salvation Army Chapel in Odessa with Capt. Avedis Kassarjon officiating.
The couple has two children: Johnie Leon Shafer and Roger Dale Shafer, both of Westville, Okla. They have four grandchildren.
John Shafer is a self-employed carpet cleaner. JoAnn Shafer is a high school substitute teacher in Stillwell, Okla.
