FOOTBALL: Seminole 52, Fort Stockton 6

SEMINOLE The Indians’ “four-headed beast” led them to a dominant win Friday over Fort Stockton 52-6.

The Seminole offensive quartet of Jacob Burtch, Juan Espino, Jarod Adams and Caleb Koedyker was called the “four-headed beast” by Fort Stockton head coach Derrick Taylor in advance of the game and they lived up to the billing.

Burtch completed 13-of-17 passes for 225 yards and five touchdowns while Espino led the rushing attack with 16 carries for 133 yards and two touchdowns.

Adams caught 5 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Koedyker caught two more touchdown passes and finished with four catches and 69 receiving yards.  

Seminole finished the regular season 9-1 overall and 4-0 in District 4-3A. Fort Stockton dropped to 6-3 overall and 0-3 in district. In spite of the loss, Fort Stockton still has a chance to make the playoffs.

For Fort Stockton to advance to the postseason, it needs to beat Greenwood by at least 14 points on Friday — and it needs Monahans to beat Andrews.
