SORORITIES
>> Preceptor Xi Gamma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met April 28. Debbie Tyson was the hostess. Kathleen Bordner presided.
Thirteen members were present. Sharla Maples read minutes from the previous meeting.
Theresa Dyer reported on the social for members and guests on April 18 at the Yucca Theatre to see "The Full Monty."
Members discussed the Mother's Day luncheon.
The program was "Your Birth Number" by Debbie Tyson. Dyer read page 54 from the BSP Gray Book, "Steps in Friendly Venturing."
It is in reference for the new theme for the 2008-2009 year, "Rekindle the Torch of Sisterhood."
Bordner won the door prize and refreshments were served.
>> Preceptor Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met May 1. Chris Norton hosted. Shirley Rybolt presided.
Eleven members were present.
Joan Bales read the minutes of the previous meeting.
Pat Holliman gave the treasurer's report.
Esther Garnett reported on the Founders Day event.
Plans were made for the installation of officers and the end
of the year party.
Rybolt reported on the Mother's Day dinner to be at the MCM Eleganté Hotel.
Norton gave the program, reading excerpts from the book "Grow something besides old seeds for a joyful life."
