Gladys Green

ODESSA Mrs. Gladys Green, 76, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at her residence.

She was born March 25, 1933 in Snyder, TX to the parents of Mance Henderson and Mary Murry.

She attended Ector County Schools. She was a homemaker. She and Willie Ross were blessed with six children and she married Sherman Green in 1958 and was blessed with four children.

She is preceded in death by her husbands; parents; son, Arbert Ross; daughter, Bille Harris; one brother; and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Lela Ross, Jannie Calicutt (Varnell), Hazel Edwards (Robert), Debra Bledsoe (Michael), of Odessa, Mary Rivera (Ramon), of Austin; sons, Carlos Ross (Mattie), Jerry Ross (Debra), Glenn Ross (Felisa); sisters, Lela Mims of Odessa, Marry Adams of Austin, and Hazle Henderson of Midwest Okla.; 34 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grand-children.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Greater St. John's Baptist Church with Rev. W.M. Tatum and Pastor E.J. Miller officiating, internment will follow at Ector County (Los Angeles) Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Martinez and Smith Funeral Chapels and Crematory.
