Locally owned franchise keeps up with the times

For 25 years, Express Personnel has been matching the right worker with the right employer. They still offer a great knowledge of the market area to help workers find the right opportunity as well as thorough screening methods to save employers time, energy and money.

But something's a little different. The company is now called Express Employment Professionals.

"We're keeping up with the times," says owner Iretta Burwell. "More and more people are using the Internet to find job opportunities. Market research shows that when people search the Internet, only one percent use the term ‘personnel.' On the other hand, 78 percent will search for ‘employment.'"

The company frequently takes advantage of opportunities to upgrade their skills. At this time, Express Employment Professionals employee David Caraveo is is taking a direct hire course that will help him find new methods to match professionals and employers.
Right now is a period of growth in the Permian Basin, and Express Employment Professionals is keeping busy sending fully qualified workers out to job sites. "We have 265 people working, and we need 31 more on different assignments," Iretta says.

The company finds matches for job seekers and employers in industrial, office and professional situations.

Express Employment Professionals acts as a talent agent for job seekers, taking the time to get to know you so that they can find the best employer to match your skills, personality and career goals.

"Whatever you're looking for, our business is to get you there," Iretta says.

Employers can rest assured that Express Employment Professionals screens applicants thoroughly.

"We evaluate more than just skills," Iretta says. "We evaluate each candidate's personality, energy and attitude so that we find the right fit for your workplace culture."

The company follows up on its hires with both workers and employees to ensure that everyone is satisfied.

Express Employment Professionals offers its workers limited benefits that surpass those of many other companies. Benefits include $15 co-pay for doctors' office visits, 80% coverage in or out of network and no waiting period. Benefit options include vision and dental plans. Their web-based payroll account system sends your paycheck directly into your bank account.

A totally franchised company, Express Employment Professionals is also a family business. Iretta has been with the company 13 years, and her daughters Pati Bolton and Amber McDonald both work for Express Employment Professionals.

"The company founder Bob Funk in Oklahoma had the theory that if a company is independently owned, the owner will take better care of it," Iretta says.

Express Employment Professionals is located at 2817 JBS Parkway, Ste. E-16. For more information, call (432) 550-0270. You can visit their website at www.expresspros.com.
