Letter: Gay marriage not right

Odessa

I have tried to tell myself to curtail my letters to the Editor. I keep hearing things on television that I just have to speak up with my thoughts. The case in point is the fact that this President and Mr. Holder have seen fit to stop any more laws concerning marriage between one woman and one man. I know that marriage between two women or two men is just not right.

I also know there are more than myself that believe the same. I know too that there are many in this world that believe that it is alright to do this. I know too that the mention of the bible or religion, is a hot topic that many readers do not believe in it. I am sorry to say that is their right. Our Constitution tells us that. Only thing I am wondering how much longer we will have the Constitution, to rely on. Seems every day something else is called unconstitutional. What next? Even our loving children are being brain washed and taught things a child of five or six, should not be taught. Of course they should be taught right from wrong, cleanliness, honesty, love of their fellow man, the value of prayer, to attend church, and yes as soon as they learn to read, haw to read the Bible. Right now this letter is my own thoughts and not meant to be critical of any reader of this letter. I am leading up to a book in Library called, “My mother is having a baby.”

The pictures and printing are all graphic, and a child younger than Junior High should not have this book in the children’s section of the Library. Yes I am well aware that our children need teaching about their body and its junction. I just cannot understand why they can’t be children to run and play instead of having to study about things, like sex. We are just letting too many things deter our children from childhood. I would hope this book would be removed from our children’s section in the Library. Thank each of you that read my letter: We must take back our world and preserve it for our children. Thank you.
