Raquel ‘Rachel' Hill Leal
CORPUS CHRISTI Raquel “Rachel” Hill Leal, 47 of Corpus Christi, Texas, was called to our Lord’s side on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, after fighting a courageous battle against cancer.
Rachel is survived by her sons, David Hill (Diana), Daniel Hill (Amy); daughter, Donika Hill; granddaughter, Kayla, and one expected granddaughter, Mia. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Robert Garcia, Mary Lou Ybarra (Israel), Yolanda Trevino (Tino), Roy Leal (Felicita Leal), Ruben Leal (Linda), Velia Ontiveros (Natalio), Abel Leal (Ginger), David Leal (Connie), Oscar Leal (Delia), Lorraine Hollingsworth (Richard), Debbie Orta and Jimmy Leal (Delma); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Aurelio and Mirta Leal; sister, Magdalena Garcia; and father-in-law, David O. Hill. Also preceded by Kayla Mungaray.
Public visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel with a rosary held at 7 p.m. that same evening. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel.
