Let the voice of democracy ring clear

On Saturday, April 26, I woke up to find that the political signs in my yard and neighboring yards on my street were stolen. This is not the first time. During the March 4 primary and the runoff election thereafter, countless political signs were also stolen all over the city.

This is deeply disturbing because an election is a constitutional process that every American proudly enjoys. The freedom of choice. The freedom of expression. Political signs are freedom of expression by involved citizens.

Only in America would you have this freedom. There are no clandestine meetings and political assassinations that are prevalent in other countries. Absent are the imprisoned political prisoners who are held without bail because they believed and expressed their opinions and desire for change. Political prisoners seek amnesty from the United States of America because of the doctrine of freedom of choice and of expression.

For those of you, who take it upon themselves to steal these political signs, please stop and let democracy reign. It is a priceless gift. Democracy. Freedom. Only in America.
