The following is a list of felony criminal activities reported to the police. Numbered addresses of crime victims’ private residences and locations where crimes occur are rounded to the nearest hundred block.


AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
>> An Odessa man
reported someone pointed a gun at him at 3:30 a.m. Saturday somewhere on West 10th Street. The man said he broke the window of the person’s car to try to get at the gun, cutting his right forearm.
>> An Odessa woman reported that her daughter told her someone the daughter knows tried to stab the daughter with a knife at 7:45 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Whitaker Avenue.
>> Two Odessa men reported someone they know pointed a gun at them during an assault between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of Penbrook Street.
 

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION
>> An Odessa man
reported someone caused $50 in damage to a wooden fence and took three firearms and a six-piece knife set worth a total of $925 between 6:50 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of East 43rd Street.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone took four firearms and a laptop computer worth a total of $3,150 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:11 p.m. Friday in the 4900 block of Delwood Avenue.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone took a $600 flat-screen television at 10:59 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Jenkins Drive.
>> An Odessa man reported someone forced entry and took a television and two wrenches worth a total of $875 and a roll of silver quarters worth $25 between Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of Dakota Avenue.
>> An Odessa man reported someone broke a window and took a bottle of medication between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of West 11th Street. The bottle was recovered in a nearby alley, but there were no arrests.


BURGLARY OF A BUILDING
>> Sunset Heights Baptist
, 2401 W. 16th St., reported someone broke a $50 window between 8p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of West 16th Street.
>> Harmony Health Food Shoppe, 3110 E. University Boulevard, reported someone broke a front door worth $850 and took $1,445 in cash between 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of East University Boulevard.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone kicked in her back door and caused an unknown amount of damage to the walls, toilet, ceiling fan and other areas of her home between 10 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of Center Avenue.
>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his storage building and took 16 rolls of tape, eight ice chests and other items worth a total of $268 between 12 p.m. May 1 and 11:20 a.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of West Sixth Street.
>> Cash Biz, 3171 E. University Blvd., reported a clerk came out of the bathroom to find a white male leaving the store with $2,644.63 from the cash drawer between 9 a.m. and 9:05 a.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of East University Boulevard.
>> A Sterling, Va., woman reported someone took three pieces of furniture, 40 pieces of assorted glassware and a collection of antique books worth a total of $17,500 from her storage building between 12 p.m. July 15 and 10:30 a.m. Friday at Park Inn Storage Units, 200 W. 31st St.
>> Colortyme, 1651 N. West County Road, reported someone forced entry and took a television of an unspecified value at 1:02 a.m. Monday in the 1600 block of North West County Road.


CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
>> An Odessa woman
reported someone she knows damaged her vehicle between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Wabash Avenue. An Odessa man reported someone pushed his vehicle into a vacant lot, causing $5,000 in damage to it, at 2:40 p.m. Sunday at the same address. Police said they are looking into them as similar incidents occurring at different times.
>> An Odessa man reported someone caused $2,500 in damage to his vehicle between 12:25 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Eastridge Road.


DEADLY CONDUCT
>> An Odessa man
reported he heard a gunshot and his windshield was penetrated by an object the shape of a bullet hole between 10:35 a.m. and 10:42 a.m. Saturday in the southbound lane of the 2500 block of Redbud Avenue. Police said the bullet wasn’t found.
>> An Odessa man reported someone discharged a firearm at a parked vehicle between 3:45 a.m. and 3:49 a.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of Oakwood Drive.
 

FORGERY
>> A Midland woman
reported someone at a garage sale paid with a fake $100 bill at 10 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Conley Place.
 

FRAUDULENT USE OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION
>> A Garland woman
reported someone she knows used her identifying information between 1 p.m. March 24 and 11 a.m. July 22 in the 3800 block of Penbrook Street.
 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
>> Odessa police
reported several people in a stolen vehicle got out of it and fled from officers on foot at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 3900 block of Tanglewood Lane. Officers reported discovering crack cocaine in the vehicle. There were no arrests.
>> A 49-year-old Odessa woman was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 11:07 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Texas Avenue.
Olga Montoya Mendoza, 100 N. Texas Ave., was released Saturday on a $7,500 bond.
>> A 44-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 11:45 p.m. Friday in the 4200 block of Preston Smith Road.
Joel Hernandez Carrasco, 2704 N. Century Ave., was released Saturday on a $7,500 bond.

 
THEFT
>> An Odessa man
reported someone took a $600 trailer with $1,980 worth of lawn equipment in it between 10 p.m. Sunday and Monday in the 2500 block of Bainbridge Drive.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone took three diamond rings worth a total of $3,760 between July 14 and Thursday in the 4200 block of Dawn Avenue.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone took four wheels and tires worth a total of $5,000 between 1 a.m. and 5:53 a.m. Friday in the 4600 block of Constitution Avenue.
>> An Odessa man reported someone took a $3,500 laptop between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Century Avenue.
 

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE
>> A 34-year-old Odessa man
was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle in the 2800 block of East University Boulevard after officers said he evaded them in a vehicle that wasn’t his and evaded them on foot between 3:05 a.m. and 5:47 a.m. Saturday.
Chad Everett Payne, 2823 E. University Blvd., was being held Monday at the Ector County Detention Center on bonds totaling $30,000.
