THE POLL: Do you think officer Chris Earp should have retained his position at the airport?
>> No, he should have been transferred to another division.: 81 percent (38 votes)
>> Yes, his actions were not that egregious.: 19 percent (9 votes)
>> tincup56: “The city of Midland had a chance to “Cull” a bad apple ,,,instead they defend him and keep him employed,,,,,This is a prime example of how they “take care” of their own, when they should be distancing themselves away from people like this,,,,,I bet he is being patted on the back by his fellow officers,,,for a JOB well done, even though HIS actions are a reflection of the police department as a whole.”
>> danaco: “It’s incredible to read all the comments on here from individuals who were not present when the incident happened; who have formed an opinion from a story the OA has printed; and were not at the hearing/trial without listening to the entire testimony.
There are two sides to the story and obviously only bits and pieces of this are being published.
My point? Find out exactly what happened before passing judgement.”
