BURGLARY OF A HABITATION
>> An Odessa woman reported someone entered her home and took a computer worth $600 between noon and 3:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 3800 block of Penbrook Street.
FORGERY
>> Kwik Kash, 1821 E. Eighth St., reported a known person forged and passed a check between 4:30 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. Aug. 28.
FRAUD
>> Police reported a known female suspect used a fraudulent “telephonically communicated prescription” to obtain a controlled substance between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Wednesday at Walgreens, 801 Maple Ave.
SEX OFFENDERS DUTY TO REGISTER – 10 YEARS
>> A 18-year-old West Odessa man was arrested and charged with failing to update his sexual offender registration after police reported he failed to do so Monday by 5 p.m.
Kyle Young, 6113 W. Laverne St., was being held Friday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
THEFT OF PROPERTY WORTH LESS THAN $1,500 WITH TWO OR MORE PREVIOUS CONVICTIONS
>> A 31-year-old West Odessa man was charged with theft of property worth less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions after Wal-Mart, 2450 N.W. Loop 338, reported he took three matchbooks, two cameras, one charger, two creepers and a hoodie worth a total of $266.68. The merchandise was recovered.
Carey Cole, 6229 W. 26th St., was being held Friday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE
>> An Odessa woman reported a known person took a black 2006 Nissan Altima worth $18,000 at 11 p.m. Sept. 19 in the 900 block of West 36th Street.
