The following is a list of felony criminal activities reported to the police. Numbered addresses of locations where crimes occur are rounded to the nearest hundred block.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

>> An Odessa woman reported someone she knew caused several lacerations to her neck using an undescribed weapon between 1:30 a.m. and 1:40 a.m. Saturday at Medical Center Hospital, 500 W. Fifth St.

>> A Kermit man reported someone stabbed him once behind his right ear and twice in his upper torso between 11:40 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of West Mable Street. He was taken to Medical Center Hospital in stable condition.

>> An Odessa man reported someone stabbed him in the chest between 11:40 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of West Mable Street. He was taken to Medical Center Hospital in stable condition.

 

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING

>> An Odessa woman reported someone entered her storage building, caused a total of $800 in damage to two trailer tires and took several tools, a battery charger and a shop vacuum worth a total of $3,500 between 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of East 14th Street.

>> Images Bar and Lounge, 3075 E. U.S. Highway 80, reported someone entered the bar and took a safe worth $100 containing $2,176 in cash between 2:45 a.m. and 9:46 a.m. Sunday.

>>Leyva Custom Cabinets, 1800 N. Texas Ave., reported someone entered the business and took four tires worth a total of $1,500 between 8 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday.

>> Olvera’s Mi Tierra, 1224 S. Grant Ave., reported someone entered the business and took 29 20-packs of beer, nine 30-packs of beer and a cell phone worth a total of $1,260 between 11 p.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. Friday.

 

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION

>> An Odessa woman reported multiple known people caused $100 in damage to a door frame, entered her apartment and took a TV, cell phone and debit card worth a total of $4,950 along with $229 in cash between 3:30 a.m. and 3:50 a.m. Saturday in the 4700 block of Oakwood Drive. The TV worth $4,700 was later recovered.

>> An Odessa woman reported entered her home and took a TV, video gaming system, three video games, a laptop computer and a camera worth a total of $2,050 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of East 38th Street.

>> An Odessa woman reported someone caused $30 in damage to a doorframe, entered her home and took $15 in change between noon and 9:53 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Blackstone Avenue.

>> An Odessa man reported someone he knew entered his home and took a .357 magnum gun, three gold pendants and a gold arrowhead worth a total of $2,350 in addition to $1,000 in gold coins between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Doran Drive.

>> An Odessa woman reported someone entered her home and took two TVs worth $1,500 between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of East 17th Street.

>> An Odessa woman reported someone entered her apartment and took her TV worth $4,000 between 2 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of South Grant Avenue.

>> An Odessa man reported someone kicked down the front door to his home causing an unknown amount of monetary damages, entered his home and took two rifles and a laptop computer worth a total of $1,215 between noon and 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Glenwood Avenue.

>> An Odessa woman reported someone she knew kicked in a door causing $250 in damage, entered her home and struck her in the head at 4:49 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Lindberg Street.

>> An Odessa woman reported someone entered her home and took $200 in clothing between Aug. 15 and 7:20 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Johnson Avenue.

>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his garage and took a TV, several tools, a video gaming system, two tires and two fishing rods worth a total of $1,560 between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 8:46 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of West Clements Street.

 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

>> A Midland woman reported someone entered her property and caused $2,000 in damage to four walls at 10:07 a.m. Friday in the 3800 block of Eisenhower Avenue.

 

DEBIT CARD ABUSE

>> An Odessa man reported someone used his debit card at 6:52 a.m. Friday in the 5100 block of East 42nd Street.

 

ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY / POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

>> A 21-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and possession of a controlled substance after a Gardendale man reported his 2006 Ford F-250 was burglarized between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Saturday at Sewell Ford, 2425 E. Eighth St.

Craig Ashmore, 1120 N. Jackson Ave., was being held Monday at the Ector County Detention Center on bonds totaling $23,250.

          

FRAUDULENT USE OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION

>> An Odessa man reported someone used his ID to withdraw from a fund on Aug. 17 at an unknown location.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

>> A 43-year-old Odessa woman was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Medical Center Hospital, 500 W. Fifth St.

Carla Brant, 1501 Century Ave., posted a $7,500 bond Saturday.

>> A 33-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 11:22 p.m. Friday in the 2500 block of West 10th Street.

Roberto Villarreal, 2543 W. 10th St., was being held Monday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.

>> A 57-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 1:15 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of South Grandview Avenue.

Climmie W. Draughn, 1214 Fall Ave., was being held Monday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.

 

THEFT

>> An Odessa man reported someone took a welder worth $4,000 between 8 a.m. and noon Friday in the 2800 block of Center Avenue.

>> An Odessa man reported multiple known people took an undisclosed amount of cash from him between 6:11 p.m. Aug. 15 and 8 p.m. Aug. 20 at Lowe’s, 2021 E. Eighth St.

 

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE / POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

>> A 19-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle after a Monahans woman reported someone took her black 2009 Dodge Ram worth $15,000, along with $300 in cash between 2:15 a.m. and 1:18 p.m. Sunday in the 5300 block of North Grandview Avenue. The truck was recovered and the man was arrested at 2:27 p.m. Sunday at 7-Eleven, 600 S. Grandview Ave.

Tony Reed, 1000 E. Monahans St. No. 707, was being held  Monday at the Ector County Detention Center on bonds totaling $77,000.
