Fair: Miss Permian Basin

There she is: Miss Permian Basin.

As usual, a new Miss Permian Basin will be named during the Permian Basin Fair and Exposition this year.

These beautiful young ladies are between 17 and 20 years old, are single, live in the Permian Basin and are maintaining at least a B average in school.

Those grades are important, too. With the title comes a nice scholarship.

Top winner get $2,500, with scholarships also awarded to second through fourth places.

The pageant begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Guys, don't feel too left out. There's a Little Miss and Mr. Pageant, too. That one's open to 4- to 11-year-olds of both sexes. The pageant's at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
