Carolyn Rose Ballard Owen
MIDLAND Carolyn Rose Ballard Owen, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Parks Methodist Retirement Home, Odessa, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Owen whom she married on May 4, 1968 in York, NC and parents Gilbert A. and Addie B. Ballard. She is survived by brothers, James Robert Ballard and Glenn Gilbert Ballard, both of Dallas, NC; three brothers-in-law and their families, Richard G. Owen of Argyle, TX, Bobbie W. Owen of Grapevine, TX, Jerry Don Owen of East Concord, Vermont and one sister-in-law, Jean Posey of Odessa, TX and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Carolyn was a great wife, a friend to all and an avid worker of arts and crafts. She was a retired employee of FedEx.
A celebration of life service will be held for Carolyn at the American Heritage at West Texas Memorial Park located at 4100 N FM 1788, Midland, TX, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
