It's not your momma's art show

A new exhibit is scheduled to open Friday at UTPB’s Nancy Fyfe Cardozier Gallery titled “Craft out of Bounds.”
Artists for the show are from Texas, Kentucky, South Carolina and California.
Dan Askew, gallery director, said the basic idea of the show was to find artists who have moved away from the traditional “functional” aspects of craft mediums.
A free public reception for the unveiling is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday in the gallery.
The exhibit will run through the Thanksgiving holiday.
