GOOD NEWS: The Odessa Optimist Club hands out awards.

The Odessa Optimist Club presented the Young Texan/Texanne awards Jan. 20 to local 11th grade students who excel in areas of academia, extracurricular activities and community involvement. Honorees for January are Keri Lynn Lucas and Daniel Forbess, both Permian High School students. This recognition makes them eligible to compete at the District and State levels of the Optimists Clubs’ Young Texan/Texanne programs.
