ODESSA Eddie (Lalo) Avila, 57, of Odessa, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Medical Center Hospital.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. tonight at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass is scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernadito Getigan officiating. Burial will be at Barstow Cemetery in Barstow.
He was born in Barstow. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS Wife, Mary Guara of Odessa; son, Edward Eddie Avila Jr. of Arlington; stepson, David Guara of Odessa; daughters, Amy Garcia of Odessa, Marti Crawford of Abilene and Debra Avila of Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Toni Wadle; brothers, Pito Abila of Pecos, Charlie Abila of Fort Worth, Ruben Abila of Monahans, Ruby Abila of Odessa, Danny Abila of Alaska and Robert Abila of Pecos; and 15 grandchildren.
