Congressional recognition of shot show
Comments 0 | Recommend 0INDUSTRY COMMENDED FOR SHOW'S 30TH ANNIVERSARY . . . NSSF has received a certificate of commendation from U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and formal congressional recognition from U.S. Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.) for the 30th anniversary of the SHOT Show. Further demonstrating the show's political importance were visits from U.S. Rep. Jon Porter (R-Nev.), whose district covers suburban Las Vegas, and Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons. "This shows the importance of the SHOT Show, and, in this election year, the importance politicians continue to attach to the sportsmen and gun-owner vote -- a demographic which remains one of the most important and influential voting blocs in American politics today," said NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel Lawrence G. Keane.
