Richard Weldon Nance

FORT STOCKTON Richard Weldon Nance, 81, of Fort Stockton, a gas plant operator, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at the Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton.


Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Revs. Gary Dunn and Steve Ramirez officiating. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.


He was born in Roscoe. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.


SURVIVORS Wife, Faye Nance of Fort Stockton; sons, Richard Dale Nance of Comanche and David Nance of Gilmer; daughters, Deloris Blake of Eagle Rock, Mo., Peggy Foster and Sandra Faulkenberry, both of Fort Stockton, and Nancy Porterfield of Mansfield; brothers, Dewey Nance of Dallas, Fred Nance Jr. of Waco and Frank Nance of Bogata; sister, Dixie Helen Thorne of Terrell; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
