‘Journey through the Borderlands'

Prolific Hispanic playwright Carlos Morton's dropping by Odessa this week.

Kicking off UTPB's College of Arts and Science's "Distinguished Lecture Series," Morton will speak about "A Journey through the Borderlands."

According to Morton's website, he was born in Chicago, but "has lived on the border between Mexico and the United States since 1970."

He is the author of more than 100 productions, including "The Many Deaths of Danny Rosales and Other Plays" and "The Fickle Finger of Lady Death."
