Man arrested in connection with Sept. 23 Midland robbery

MIDLAND A third suspect was arrested in connection with a Sept. 23 robbery where a child was supposedly left in a couple's vehicle while they were robbing a house.

Midland County sheriff deputies apprehended Roman Goodley, 18, of 1708 E. Pine Ave. in Midland, and charged him with two counts of residential burglary, according to a news release from the Midland County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Gary Painter claimed in the news release that the first two suspects, identified as Ryan Fennell, 19, and Hope Scott, 18, were involved in a crime spree where they burglarized homes in the area of East County Road 120 and County Road 130 on Sept. 23.

Fennell and Scott, both of 2300 N. A St. in Midland, were charged Tuesday with aggravated robbery and two counts of child endangerment, and were further charged Wednesday with two counts of residential burglary.

Fennell and Scott are being held without bond at the Midland County Central Detention center. Goodley paid the $10,000 bond but is being held at the detention center for eight more days on unrelated charges.
