Man pleads guilty to promoting prostitution

MIDLAND A 45-year-old McAllen man pleaded guilty Friday in Federal Court to one count of using the Internet and cell phone to promote his business of prostitution in Odessa and Midland, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced.
By pleading guilty, Reyes admitted that he operated an “escort” business named Sabrina’s Escort Service in 2010, a news release stated. Reyes has remained in federal custody since he was deported to the United States from Mexico in December, the release stated.
He faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison, the release stated.
His case was investigated by the Midland County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the release stated.
