Michael Lewis Cubine

KERMIT Michael “Mike” Cubine, age 57, of Kermit passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012, in Kermit, TX. He was born February 12, 1954, in Graham, TX; to the late John and Dorothy (Carter) Cubine. Mike was a fun loving person. If it had a motor, Mike wanted to either watch it race or race it himself. He would rather take a picture of a hot-rod than pose for a picture himself. Frequently, Mike could be found playing at the Sand Hills in a dune buggy he built. He had a true love for the outdoors and enjoyed golfing and was known to be quite the chef around a BBQ grill.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son: Clay Cubine and wife Nikki of Odessa; daughter: Quimby Cubine of Odessa; two brothers: Steve Wisniewski and wife Rene of Phoenix, AZ and Sam Cubine and wife Kathy of San Angelo, TX; sister: Kathy Cubine of Odessa; nieces and nephews: Chad Wisniewski and wife Melinda, Deidre Dunham, Garrett Bell and Kymberli Bell and two great-nephews: Johnny Rocket Cubine and Cayden Wisniewski. He is also survived by his special friend and companion: Evelyn Lockwood of Kermit and her family Larry, Mandy and Tyler.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit, TX with Brother Bill Campbell officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Raymond Blair, Budda Barta, Robert Galindo, Bobby Dunham, Larry Lockwood, Lane Wilson, Jerry Wright and all of his other friends he left behind. A private burial will follow at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor. Online condolences may be sent at fs-fp.com.
