ODESSA Mike Martinez, 78, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Martinez-Smith Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at San Martin de Porras Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill Garden Cemetery.

He was born in Alpine.

SURVIVORS Wife, Viola Rubio Martinez of Alvin; sons, Mike Martinez and Larry Martinez both of Odessa, and Lupe Martinez of Alvin; daughters, Gloria Contreras, Yolanda Paz, Alicia Armendariz and Lorine Baca, all of Odessa, and Martha Hernandez of Houston; brother, Pedro Martinez of Odessa; sister, Vickie Lujan of Kermit; 26 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
