- MARFA Ballroom Marfa has scheduled Charlie Chaplin’s “The Kid” with live score by Shahzad Ismaily at 7:30 p.m. today at Crowley Theatre in Marfa. - Big Show Events has scheduled the second annual AST/Jammin’ 94.7 New Year Year’s Eve Jam Celebration from 7 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday at Hilton Garden Inn, 5221 JBS Parkway. This year there will be a dance off with a prize of $100. - LUBBOCK Texas Tech’s International Culture Center, 601 Indiana, Lubbock, will be displaying Odessa College photography student and faculty works in the 11th annual “High and Dry: A Photographic Exhibition of Peoples and Places of the World’s Dry Lands,” through Jan. 13, 2012. The museum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The museum is closed during University Holidays.
- The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, 4901 E. University Blvd., has scheduled the Freshman and Sophomore Art Exhibition 2011 to be on display through Jan. 15, 2012 in the Nancy Fyfe Cardozier Gallery in the Visual Arts Studio. The displayed arts will be artworks by students that were enrolled in freshman and sophomore level art courses at UTPB during the last year.
