Marfa Lights Festival for Labor Day

The Marfa Lights Festival celebrating the mysterious lights that sometimes appear in this West Texas town will be held on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2-4, around the historic Presidio County Courthouse.

Events will start at 5 p.m. Friday and continue though 6 p.m. Sunday, with music, food, a parade and arts and crafts. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the festival. The same weekend, the musical Becoming Kinky: The World According to Kinky Friedman, will debut Sept. 3 at the Crowley Theater in Marfa.
