New branch manager is active in the community

ASB is pleased to welcome Montie Garner as the new branch manager at ASB’s Grandview location.

Montie began her career in banking in 1971 and has since held a number of different positions at banks throughout the Permian Basin affording her knowledge in all facets of banking from consumer accounts to business banking, mortgage loans and beyond. Montie has worked for a number of banks including Security State Bank, McAfee Mortgage, State National Bank and Fort Davis State Bank.

Montie has resided in and around Odessa for most of her life and as a result is very committed to the community and citizens of Odessa. She has served on the board of a number of different non-profit organizations such as United Way of Odessa, Permian Basin Rehab Center, Home Hospice and the 6th and Jackson Church of Christ Women’s Ministry. She currently serves on the board of the Samaritan Counseling Center which provides faith-based professional counseling services to the citizens of the Permian Basin free-of-charge. 

Montie and her husband Richard have two children together that they raised in Odessa and are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren, all of whom attend school in the ECISD system. In her spare time, Montie enjoys photography, sewing, her grandkids and staying involved in her church.
