About 150 people sing hymns during the service of the first of the Odessa Ministerial Alliance 2012 Lenten Luncheon Series Wednesday at Crescent Park Baptist Church. The series continues through April 4 each Wednesday at a different church. This year's theme is the Seven 'I Am' statements of Jesus. A light lunch is served for a donation.

The Odessa Ministerial Alliance began its 2012 Lenten Luncheon Series Wednesday with a lunch and service at Crescent Park Baptist Church.
The series continues each Wednesday at a different church through April 4. A light lunch is served for a suggested $5 donation. A service follows.
This year's theme is the "Seven 'I Am' statements of Jesus.
The next gathering is scheduled for Feb. 29 at St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church, 4141 Tanglewood Lane. Lunch begins at 11:15, service begins at noon.
