Hunt, 80, arrested at the Lincoln Tower Retirement Home
THE STORY: Clarence Edward “Bunky” Hunt, 80, was arrested at the Lincoln Tower Retirement Home in Odessa after police said he fired a handgun at a fellow resident.
Hunt was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

However, when a resident like Mr. Hunt had been threatening the residents with violence for several years,why wasn’t something done about it? If I lived in a traditional apartment complex and I was threatened, I would do two things: call the police and tell the apartment manager. Were these things not done?
As for Williard and his story of the 11 year old defending his mother, it shows further proof why people...young, middle age, and old need to know how to defend themselves period. What would have happened to this woman IF her son was not at home? Did she know how to shoot that .22 rifle or a handgun? Law abiding citizens need to be armed and ready to defend themselves in their own home or where ever because the police cannot be every where. Get out and teach your wife or your kids to shoot. If you don’t know how to shoot, learn. There are places that will show you how and people that are willing to teach you.
I know I’ll have all kinds of comments from all sides of this issue. However, it is our right and duty to defend ourselves and our family from the scrum that walks the earth that want to do us harm. Pure and simple.”
