Central Hockey League: Jackalopes fall against Gorillas

AMARILLO One night after pulling out a shootout victory, the Odessa Jackalopes could not find any third-period magic Saturday night, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Amarillo Gorillas at the Amarillo Civic Coliseum.

Joe Guenther scored both goals for the Gorillas (2-0), the first unassisted in the first period and the second after a pass from Andrew Smale with 5:38 left in the game.

Dominic Leveille scored a second-period goal for the Jackalopes (1-1), who return to Ector County Coliseum on Tuesday to host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
