Central Hockey League: Plante gets league honor

Odessa Jackalopes defenseman Philippe Plante was honored as the Central Hockey League Player of the Week after scoring five points (1 goals, 4 assists) in three victories last week.

Plante, in his second season with the team, had four of the points (1-3) on the power play as the Jackalopes defeated Corpus Christi on Thursday and then won back-to-back contests Friday and Saturday against Bossier-Shreveport.

The Jackalopes (8-1-1) return home at 7:05 p.m. Friday to face the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
